Brighton Tai Chi Association
About the BTCA
ImageTai Chi is enjoyed by many people all over the world as a gentle form of exercise that can build up strength, and improve balance and co-ordination (and in skilled hands is a very effective martial art). It is ideal for people who, for whatever reason, are unable to follow more vigorous activities, and for those that can, it provides an interesting contrast to more aggressive pursuits. It can also be very relaxing for people with busy lifestyles.

Brighton Tai Chi Association was formed to represent the interests of Brighton's tai chi teachers, and to provide information on all aspects of tai chi particularly in helping people start tai chi and spreading information on the positive health benefits of tai chi.

We have been invited to take part in this and if you want to run a class, please let me know. This is a good opportunity for us to show how we can liaise with other agencies (in this case the NHS) within our community.

Whilst some Qi Gong is only for improving yourself, Kong Jin trains "waiqi" (healing or emission) so you can use it to heal others. Kong Jin is translated as "empty force" and is used as a healing technique in China's qi gong hospitals.
